"We were transferred to Pennsylvania, in 1992. Our Portolla Hills Home had been on the market for months and our company was not going to allow any more payment assistance. Our Realtor said: "It’s the mello roos assessment". When the listing expired, we contacted Carol. She said: "mello roos shouldn’t be a problem, because it is a FIXED amount and the effective tax rate (on this home) is only 1.389% of the assessed value." Whatever that means. Carol did an article about mello roos, made copies and put them on the kitchen counter. She also had us replace (very inexpensively I might add) the hunter green carpet, with a neutral color. With Carol’s help, the home sold for FULL PRICE within 3 days."
